The gorgeous chapel area under the redwood trees had this peace, a hushed, almost reverent feeling that settled in deep and had me smiling long after we had driven away. Some of our favorite moments together have been hiking in the beautiful forests of Utah, California, and Colorado, and Nestldown seemed like the closest way to capture that feeling (without making our guests hike up a mountain!)”

We decided on food stations that were themed after our favorite kinds of foods, with nods to my southern roots and Pete’s love of Tex-Mex. Everything on the menu drew from something special to us, from the signature Pimm’s cocktail (discovered on a trip to London with Pete’s family), to the fried green tomato biscuit sliders, to the s’mores kits that doubled as favors (a favorite at our annual fall party).”
